How to make the checkout process in osCommerce 2.2 shorter and faster?

The standard version of osCommerce 2.2 have the following checkout procedure:

Step 1. Login or create account choice page

Step 2. Create Account Page

Step 3. Account created confirmation page

Step 4.  Shipping choice page

Step 5. Payment choice page

Step 6. Order overview and confirmation order page

Step 7. Thanks for order page.

There are several modifications which will let you streamline and/or shorten this process.

1. Combined Login and Checkout Page

This mod reduces the checkout procedure by 2 steps by combining the login and create account information page into 1 page and by removing the create account success page.

2. Purchase without an account (PWA)

This mod is not necessarily meant to make the checkout procedure shorter, its geared toward making it more streamlined and friendly by giving the customer a choice to purchase without creating an account.

3. Fast and easy checkout (FEC)

Fast and easy checkout reduces the checkout procedure of oscommerce by 3 steps, by combining login and create account info on 1 page , by removing the account created sucess page and by combining the shippment choice and payment choice into 1 page. This mod also gives the customer a choice of shopping without creating an account.

4. Alternative Purchase System v2.0

This mod gives a quick checkout option to the checkout procedure where the customer can finish the order by just a few clicks.

Att. This mod is aimed at first time customers, for further orders they will follow the normal checkout procedure.

 5. More Logical Checkout v1.0

This mod streamline the checkout process with an aim to make it more logical it also removes 2 steps from the checkout procedure by skipping the login/create account page and going straight to create account info page and by removing the create account success page.

6. One Page Checkout

This mode combines checkout steps 1 to 6 into just 1 page.
