Oscommerce may be down for the count, but is still being developed and a new V2.4 version of the shopping cart is in the works.

The new osCommerce 2.4.0 will be based of the current osCommerce mobile responsive community version with several functionality improvements and a more modern code base.

In preparation for PHP 7 Oscommerce v2.4 will utilize more modern and future-prof functions like namespaces and PDO.
