Harald Ponce de Leon has stated that Oscommerce Version 3.0 is to be released in February 2009.

The new Oscommerce version has a brand new template system, code base and db structure which is not directly compatible with oscommerce 2.2.

But to ensure an easy transition for existing Oscommerce users there will a db import convert included with Oscommerce 3.0 for transferring over database information and products from Oscommerce Version 2.2 based shops.
