The Oscommerce Project has now been renamed to osQuantum in preparation for the first Alpha release of their new shopping cart solution.

The Oscommerce Project was started in response to what some perceived as the slow progress in the development of the original osCommerce shopping cart.

The new osQuantum shopping cart will be based on the Kohana framework , the release date of  osQuantum 1.0 Alpha is expected to be released shortly.

UPDATE: The Oscommerce Project/osQuantum have been abandoned and are no longer being developed.
